The Chamonix Valley offers several beautiful ice climbing spots in winter. The most popular are La Crémerie, the Argentière Glacier, and the Bérard Valley.
This option is for people, whether they have prior ice climbing experience or are beginners, who want to climb one or more icefalls in a day.
The guide can lead one or two people on routes high in the mountains.

Presentation of equipment and safety instructions, first contact with ice climbing on pitches of 10 to 30 meters on an introductory waterfall.

For safety reasons, groups are limited to 4 people.
INSURANCE:
Please ensure you have personal accident insurance covering ice climbing, search and rescue operations.

Originally from the Vosges Mountains, Eric is a High Mountain Guide in the Mont Blanc massif in Haute-Savoie. He leads climbing trips, multi-pitch routes, and high-altitude mountaineering excursions.
Based in Sallanches (Haute-Savoie), near Chamonix, Megève, and Les Contamines-Montjoie, Eric awaits you for adventures on skis, snowboards, crampons, or ice axes.
2025 RATES
€500 per day for a pre-formed group of 1 or 2 people
This rate includes the loan of technical equipment, excluding crampon-compatible mountaineering boots.
Period: December to March, depending on ice conditions

We work with partners located in the areas we visit: restaurants, bars, and accommodations.nWe will suggest taking public transportation to the meeting points (when possible!) or carpooling for outdoor outings.
